Home Reversion Plans

If you want to release equity from your property but are concerned about the interest and the inheritance you will leave behind, a home reversion plan could help.

A home reversion plan is an equity release product which allows you to sell a part, or all of your property to the plan provider, in exchange for a tax-free lump sum. This means you no longer own your home, but you will be able to live in it as a tenant for the rest of your life under a lifetime tenancy.

This arrangement can be useful if you're looking to consolidate debt, carry out some home improvements or you want to simply increase your income.

Once you pass away or if you move to long-term care, the property will be sold and if you have retained some ownership your share of the proceeds will be passed onto your estate.

It's important to note that what the providers will pay for your home is based on your age and therefore how long you might live there as a tenant, so you will not receive full market value for the property. Speak to us to discuss whether this is the right product for you.
